Concept

After the success of the seasonal venue, The Jetty wanted a new modular structure concept. They were after a structure that was modern, stylish and sleek to fit within the iconic environment.

HR Structures Australia provided The Jetty with visual concepts of the Vegas Structure designed with a shallow pitched curved roof for stylish aesthetics.

The Jetty was pleased with the design, considering it to be a tremendous upgrade to the former Temporary Structure they had deployed to cover the venue.

HR Structures Australia turned to their global manufacturing partners – HR Structures Germany to bring the concept to life.

Vegas Stucture

In 2023, HR Structures engineered and manufactured the Vegas Structure in their German factory. The structure measures 15 metres x 20 metres on a 3.3 metre side height with a durable black powder coated frame.

The shallow pitch curved roof is made of Thermo Twin layer PVC in white opaque. Due to the thermo covers, the roof sheets do not flap in the wind or has condensation issues. Additionally, the thermo roof provides good insulation qualities for both hot and cold temperature days.

The gables are made with one piece of full clear gable infills surrounded by a black valance. Plus, the gable ends are fitted with horizontal Skyline Light Glass.

The Structure includes 3 double doors in glass with panic push bars, automatic closers and Stainless D handles.

The Jetty Canberra

When the Vegas Structure was completed, its components were shipped to Canberra in September 2023, just in time for the start of the summer season.

Our installation partners, Australian Temporary Structures, were recruited to build the Vegas Structure. The entire project took just 2 days to build.

The Jetty now has an incredible entertainment feature on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.
